"IMHO" - In My Humble Opinion. Not sure of the origin of
this acronym, but the idea is that this page is a topical
catchall, some of which are opinions and
rants: living
in Texas, weeds
:-).
Burma Shave Are you old enough to
remember Burma Shave signs on the side of the highway? One
of the fun things about the frequent trips my family made
between Bay City, Michigan and West Branch or Detroit was
waiting to see if any of the Burma Shave sign sets had changed.
I found material for these signs at www.nidlink.com/~dgookin/burma_shave/ (which turned into a spam site)
and http://grantmcl.tripod.com/burmashave.html
Living in north central Texas is an experience. On the positive
side are the yearlong barbecue season, sunshine, can-do attitudes,
great high-tech business environment; on the negative side
are fire ants, termites, heat, heat, heat, traffic on Central
Expressway or LBJ. Did I mention heat? It's hot here. Sort
of the complement of Minnesota winters where for three months
you don't go out doors; here you don't go out doors for three
summer months.
Weeds I have
been trying to eradicate a weed that looks like a mutant clover.
The mutant is winning more ground every year. Take
a look at it and offer suggestions if you will.
